In a short period of time, the 4th Annual Family Unity In The Park Concert & Fireworks Show has become one of the most anticipated and well-attended entertainment events in the City of Cleveland. Presenting an original blend of old school funk, soul, R & B and jazz, the festival succeeds due to the wide range of national talent it attracts. The show ending fireworks extravaganza is the only fireworks display of its kind on the eastside of Cleveland. The Family Unity In The Park Concert & Fireworks Show distinguishes itself from other festivals by being committed to offering top notch world-class entertainment for FREE. Past performers include The Dazz Band, The Ohio Players, Con Funk Shun, Midnight Star, Conya Doss, Paul Samuels and Soundoctrine.
This FREE family event will take place on Saturday July 21st, 2007 from Noon-9PM in beautiful Luke Easter Park, the largest urban park in the State of Ohio. This years’ event will feature one of the largest fireworks displays in Northeast Ohio. Bring your family, your blankets, your lawn chairs, your picnic baskets, and your grills for this family celebration. There will be a kiddie park for kids, health screenings, voter registration, information booths and more. Live entertainment will begin at Noon. Scheduled to perform for this event will be classic soul music pioneers THE DRAMATICS. Also scheduled to perform and bringing the funk back to Cleveland with them will be none other than THE SOS BAND and contemporary jazz legend RONNIE LAWS; plus national recording artist Frank McComb, Angela Johnson and a host of artists in the genres of R & B, Soul, Reggae, Blues, and Jazz Music.
The day will be capped off by Councilman Reed’s traditional fireworks show! The entertainment starts at noon so get to Luke Easter Park early because it is sure to get crowded fast.
