Hope you enjoyed The Family Unity Day in the Park last year.

The annual concert and fireworks show has become one of the most anticipated and well-attended events in the City of Cleveland. It brings with it a blend of old school funk, soul, rhythm and blues, reggae and jazz. The fireworks show makes a spectacular ending to a wonderful day in the park. This FREE event has brought world-class entertainment - The O'Jays, Stephanie Mills, Angie Stone, After 7, Avery*Sunshine, CAMEO, Najee, Rose Royce,The Whispers, The SOS Band, Enchantment, The Ohio Players, Con Funk Shun, Midnight Star, Conya Doss, Evelyn Champagne King, Paul Samuels, Soundoctrine, The Temptations, Morris Day and the Time, Eric Nolan, contemporary jazz man Eric Roberson and more, along with a host of local artists.

The day ends with a sky filled with bright lights, flashes of color, and the sounds of a magnificent fireworks display. Did you know that fireworks have existed for centuries? Initially for some they were used to ward off some people and evil spirits. As the years progressed they became increasingly used for celebrations and festivals around the world and to express happiness, in some cases pride and patriotism.

See you July 29, 2017 at Luke Easter Park.
