Hope you enjoyed another year of The Family Unity Day in the Park.

The annual concert and fireworks show has become one of the most anticipated and well-attended events in the City of Cleveland. Bringing with it a blend of old school funk, soul, rhythm and blues, reggae and jazz. The fireworks show makes a spectacular ending to a wonderful day in the park. This FREE event has brought world-class entertainment - CAMEO, Rose Royce,The Whispers, Enchantment, The Ohio Players, Con Funk Shun, Midnight Star, Conya Doss, Paul Samuels, Soundoctrine, The Temptations, Morris Day and the Time, contemporary jazz man Eric Roberson and more, along with a host of local artists.

The day ends with a sky filled with bright lights, flashes of color, and the sounds of a magnificent fireworks display. Did you know that fireworks have existed for centuries? Initially for some they were used to ward off some people and evil spirits. As the years progressed they became increasingly used for celebrations and festivals around the world and to express happiness, in some cases pride and patriotism.

The July 28, 2012 event could not be accomplished without the generosity of our sponsors. We celebrate and recognize -
