Family Unity Day in the Park is a FREE family event that will take place on
Saturday, July 26th, 2008 from noon-9pm in beautiful Luke Easter Park, the largest urban park in the state
of Ohio. This year, we are aiming to hold the largest health fair in Northeast Ohio during this one-day event. Mobile units and booths from the area’s premier healthcare providers will be on hand to offer free screening services for blood pressure, diabetes and more.
Live entertainment will begin at noon. Locally and nationally acclaimed artists scheduled to perform
for this event include legendary R&B pioneers The Whispers; the soulful sounds of
Enchantment; plus
smooth Neo-Soul and jazz from contemporary artists Conya Doss,
Dwele,
AB & The Souljourners,
Gordon Chambers and
N’Dambi. Also performing is a host of local artists in the genres of R&B,
Soul, Reggae, Blues, and Jazz music.
Bring your family, your blankets, your lawn chairs, your picnic baskets, and your grills for this family
celebration. There will be a kiddie park for kids, health screenings, voter registration, information
booths and more.
The day will be capped off by Councilman Reed’s traditional fireworks show! The entertainment starts at
noon so get to Luke Easter Park early because it is sure to get crowded fast. |
